Now, less than two years later, she’s thrilled with the film adaptation, out in UK cinemas today. But not all authors are pleased with the director’s take on their beloved novels. The Hovercraft – a Gliding Enigma
Invented in the 1960’s, the hovercraft is the ultimate all-terrain vehicle, capable of taking on off-road mud and grass and then gliding effortlessly onto water. More and more people are getting excited about the idea of piloting a futuristic-looking vehicle that doesn’t technically fly or drive, and we’re definitely among them! Despite their use in mainstream travel (those who prefer not to take the ferry can take a speedy hovercraft to various isles from the mainland), most people don’t know much about hovercrafts. A Blue Box Sailing Trip
One choppy sea, sky blue summer’s day recently, two colleagues from Red Letter Days enjoyed a day trip to the coast, for a half day out sailing on the Solent. With thanks to our friends at Blue Box Sailing, they were made to feel very welcome and can now consider themselves to be proper sailors (well almost, it takes rather longer than half a day to perfect the art of sailing, but a few hours guidance makes for a great start)
