The Hovercraft – a Gliding Enigma
Invented in the 1960’s, the hovercraft is the ultimate all-terrain vehicle, capable of taking on off-road mud and grass and then gliding effortlessly onto water. More and more people are getting excited about the idea of piloting a futuristic-looking vehicle that doesn’t technically fly or drive, and we’re definitely among them! Despite their use in mainstream travel (those who prefer not to take the ferry can take a speedy hovercraft to various isles from the mainland), most people don’t know much about hovercrafts. So when we treated Maddie and Tom from the RLD office to a hovercrafting experience in Bedfordshire, naturally, we had some questions! Find out how they got on below.

A Blue Box Sailing Trip
One choppy sea, sky blue summer’s day recently, two colleagues from Red Letter Days enjoyed a day trip to the coast, for a half day out sailing on the Solent. With thanks to our friends at Blue Box Sailing, they were made to feel very welcome and can now consider themselves to be proper sailors (well almost, it takes rather longer than half a day to perfect the art of sailing, but a few hours guidance makes for a great start)

Darpan jumped behind the wheel of a Porsche 911 and Andrew tried his hand at driving a Shelby Mustang 68 Fastback. Great British Bake Off Best Mel and Sue Moments
Is there no end to the shocking moves from our favourite shows? Following the loss of BBC Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson (and shortly after, his co-hosts too) we were all devastated, yet at the same time, oddly curious to see what would come next. And now Mel and Sue have refused to ‘go with the dough’ when The Great British Bake Off moves from the BBC to Channel 4 next year as part of a controversial multi-million-pound deal.
