Christmas Stories: How Five Bloggers #ExperienceChristmas
All this month, we’ve been on a mission to find out how people around the UK experience Christmas. So before we clock off for the festive season ourselves, we asked five brilliant bloggers what happens in their house at this time of year. Here are their Christmas stories – you might even get some inspiration along the way…

Staff Christmas Stories: What Happens in Your House?
Every household in the country has its own Christmas traditions: those little things that make the festive season what it is. So to find out what people get up to, we asked our colleagues at Red Letter Days what happens in their house every year without fail. We heard about everything from present giving (or lack of) to neighbourly politeness, from turkey-related panic to boozy gifts for Santa. And even though all the stories were different, they still all felt somehow familiar. Here’s what they said.

Christmas comes early for a young unsung hero
Did you know that there are 800,000 young carers in the UK today? At secondary school age, these children look after at least one relative with disability, illness or mental health condition – sometimes spending up to 30 hours a week on care. #RLDChristmas: How Does the Nation Celebrate Christmas?
Christmas – it’s the most wonderful time of the year! Though celebrated by millions of people across the UK, the true meaning of Christmas is interpreted differently by the population and each individual has their own unique way of marking the special occasion. Our #RLDChristmas Twitter chat and data research found that while some families take the opportunity to go all out and some have age-old traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation (the cheesier the better), others prefer to keep it as more of a low-key affair. The same can also be said about how early people begin their festive celebrations (is November too soon?!) and the habits people…

Meet Moosey – Our Christmas Mascot!
Christmas is coming, and no moose-take! A new intern arrived at Red Letter Days this summer. We’re used to enthusiastic youngsters joining our herd to learn moose skills, but this little guy took things to the next level. Despite having an important winter job back at home in the northern hemisphere, we persuaded him to stay on until Christmas as our official mascot. We caught up with Moosey as he has become known around the office to see what makes him tick, in advance of publication of his brand new mooseletter. Why not subscribe to join in the fun at www.redletterdays.co.uk/mooseletter

What Makes Christmas So Special?
When this question was discussed here in the RLD offices, the word that was most used was memories. It seems that for us, the most valued part of the Christmas season is #making memories with family and friends – and the stories that are re-told.
