A walk around the historic town and parkland area provides splendid views of the castle, the Clwydian mountain range and the nearby River Clwyd. The first recorded castle on the site was built in 1277 and ruins from the site’s rich history are now dotted around a more modern hotel and spa. The castle also offers its own superb Afternoon Tea for Two to take away those hunger pangs after a long day of hiking.
