Out and About: Spa Break at Alexander House
Life can be very hectic and we all deserve a little pampering from time to time – and what better way to unwind than with a luxury spa break? We love spa breaks at Red Letter Days and you can read about some of our other spa visits including Bannatyne Charlton House in Somerset and Espirit Fitness and Spa in Reading.
Recently, our colleague Sevda was invited to stay at Alexander House and Utopia Spa. Read on to find out more.
“From the moment you step into the grounds of Alexander House, you know you’ve arrived somewhere very special. Set within 120 acres of glorious Sussex countryside, Alexander House boasts beautiful views, a choice of restaurants and an award-winning spa; the perfect place to relax.
I was invited to stay in one of Alexander House’s newly built Cedar Lodge Suites, which was surrounded by acres of beautiful grounds and gardens. The suite was stunning and came complete with a comfy sofa, separate dining area and its own private balcony. No detail had been spared, the bathroom and bed were wonderful and there was even mood lighting to set the tone – pure five star luxury.
When I was relaxing in my suite, I was so comfy that decided to order room service for both my meals. I have to say the highlight was when my breakfast hamper arrived, which I enjoyed on the balcony overlooking the gardens.
Utopia Spa is exceptional and the outdoor Jacuzzi was particularly relaxing. During my time at the spa, I had a holistic back, neck and shoulder massage, performed by one of the spa’s professional therapists. It was so relaxing that I almost dozed off and afterwards, I accidentally disposed of my robe with my Links of London necklace in the pocket. I called the reception in panic and luckily, a member of staff knocked on the door 10 minutes later with the necklace in his hand – panic averted!
Alexander House and Utopia spa is an amazing place for a spa break – the staff were attentive, the location was stunning, the accommodation was luxurious, the spa was top notch – and I can’t wait to book again.”
