J.K Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Muggles just itching to get back into the wizarding world depicted in the Harry Potter series will be enchanted with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, out in cinemas today!

No, Harry, Hermione and Ron aren’t back, and the film’s set in America, but the bits we know and love are basically the same. Magicians live discreetly alongside non-maj (that’s USA English for muggles), who are totally unaware of the existence of their world.

The story centres around Newt Scamander, played by Academy Award winner Eddie Remayne. He’s a young magizoologist, freshly expelled from Hogwarts. In muggle-speak, a magizoologist collects and studies weird and wonderful magical creatures from around the world, and Newt has just done exactly that. When he stops over in New York one day in 1926, the creatures are safely contained in an ordinary-looking case that could be mistaken by any non-maj for an ordinary case. What could possibly go wrong?

We won’t give more of the storyline away, or risk letting any more bad puns slytherin, so take a peek at the trailer below and decide who to treat to cinema tickets!

And Harry Potter fans have plenty to get excited about, as J.K. Rowling herself has said Fantastic Beasts is just Part 1 of 5 films yet to come… magical!
