It’s Gourmet Cinema Club Season
Summer’s almost gone but the good news is, now’s the perfect time to kick back and watch a film or two.
Not long ago, we sent some of our colleagues to attend the Gourmet Cinema Club at Sanctum Soho (billed as London’s first rock and roll hotel) – and they loved it.
With Halloween hotting up and Christmas on its way, Sanctum Soho have thrown a few seasonal screenings into the mix. Read on to find out which films they’ll be showing in the coming months…
Hocus Pocus
This Halloween comedy classic, starring Bette Middler and Sarah Jessica Parker, tells the spine-chilling tale of three witches resurrected in Salem, Massachusetts on Halloween night to continue their reign of terror. Things start of swimmingly until they meet two teenagers, a young girl and an immortal cat.
Elf
Possibly one of Will Farrell’s best performances to date, Elf is a festive film which is packed with laughs. After being kicked out of the elf community due to his ungainly size, Buddy (Will Farrell) ventures to the United States in search of his true identity – with hilarious consequences.
Home Alone
No Christmas (or Gourmet Cinema Club line up) would be complete without Home Alone. An eight year old Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) is accidentally left at home during Christmas vacation and ends up having to protect himself from a pair of bumbling burglars.
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
The Griswold family set off on their Christmas vacation and in true National Lampoon style, everything turns into a complete disaster! Another classic Christmas movie with plenty of side-splitting moments, courtesy of Chevy Chase and the gang.
