September has rolled around and with the end of summer and the start of the school routine, it’s not everyone’s favourite time of year, so we’ve come up with some ‘back to school’ activities to brighten the month ahead.

1. Make a checklist with the kids to make sure they have everything they need – they’ll have fun ticking off the boxes as they get ready for the first day back.

2. Why not mark September by getting in touch with an old school friend and having a catch up? Perhaps with some afternoon tea?

3. Spice up packed lunches with shaped sandwiches, popcorn or interesting fruit – kids love eating things that look fun and it’s a good way to get them eating healthily.

4. Spend an evening or a weekend getting creative in the kitchen by making some school themed cupcakes. Tasty, fun and they make a great gift for new classmates.

5. Make a wall hanging or an achievement board with small goals for each term. They’re fun to decorate and fill out and when they achieve, they can get a treat! Get ideas from our range for kids.
