Four Epic Steven Spielberg Movies
Today marks the official release date of the long anticipated Jurassic World.
After taking a break from the Jurassic Park franchise, Steven Spielberg made a valiant return to help produce this brand new pre-historic Blockbuster.
To celebrate, here is our pick of four epic Steven Spielberg movies (other than Jurassic Park) and if you are a fan of film and the cinema have a read of some of our previous film blogs on autumn films and time travelling.
Jaws
Based on Peter Benchley’s novel of the same name, this 1975 American thriller terrified audiences all over the world. The winning combination of a sleepy coastal town, a giant man eating shark and a killer theme tune made this flick an instant cinematic classic.
Indiana Jones and The Raiders of the Lost Ark
This 1981 fantasy Adventure was directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by the one and only George Lucas. The first of the Indiana Jones franchise, this is arguably the best and it features a whole host of unforgettable Harrison Ford action moments.
Hook
Loosely based around that classic tale of ‘The Boy Who Never Grew Up’, this wonderfully offbeat fantasy adventure stars the late great Robin Williams as Peter Pan, as well as Dustin Hoffman who plays his arch nemesis, the evil Captain Hook. Epic!
War of The Worlds
One of the more recent Steven Spielberg movies, this 2005 thrill ride offers audiences an adrenaline-pumping revamp of the original 1953 movie (based on the classic H.G. Wells novel). With a top cast, incredible soundtrack and stunning special effects, this film really is a must watch.
