UK's top rambling routes and walks

The Oxford picnic cruise provides the perfect opportunity to explore beautiful Oxford on a river cruise down the Thames.

Head to North Wales and enjoy one of the rambling routes.

Away from the capital, the UK has plenty of other worthwhile rambling routes to explore. North Wales, in particular, has a multitude of hillsides and woodland areas to explore and the land surrounding Ruthin Castle is no exception. A walk around the historic town and parkland area provides splendid views of the castle, the Clwydian mountain range and the nearby River Clwyd. The first recorded castle on the site was built in 1277 and ruins from the site’s rich history are now dotted around a more modern hotel and spa. The castle also offers its own superb Afternoon Tea for Two to take away those hunger pangs after a long day of hiking.

The British countryside is the perfect setting for rambling routes.

There’s so much to see and do all across the country and a short walk exploring the great outdoors is the perfect starting point for a great British day out.

If this has inspired you to get out there and enjoy the great outdoors, take a look at our exciting range of adventure experiences.
