Views from Water and from Land
Sales Support Manager Camille recently went to extreme measures to ensure she got the best views of London, by heading out in search of views from water and from land during the Rib Power boat and View from The Shard experience. We find out how she got on…
A couple of Sundays ago Camille and her partner headed to St. Katherine’s Pier near Tower Hill in London to enjoy a two hour rib powerboat and View from The Shard experience. The day started with the rib boat ride which Camille herself says “was literally one of the best things [she] has ever done and [is] already planning to do it again… exciting fun, scary, exhilarating [she] loved every second”.
You are fully safety equipped whilst on board the rib, with life jackets and warm, dry coats available for use. After the best 45 minute, high-speed adventure of Camille’s life in which she took in views of some of London’s best loved landmarks such as The O2, The Cutty Sark and Canary Wharf, it was time to for a change of pace for the rest of the day. Camille and her boyfriend headed back to dry land and up Western Europe’s tallest building (310 metres high, if you were wondering) – The Shard to check out the view from up there.
Camille headed up The Shard and to the viewing platform which she thinks is “the best one [she’s] been to. When you first step out and look out everything it’s really breath-taking, realising how high up you are.” The platform allows you to take in some incredibly panoramic views of London – which can be appreciated by Londoners and tourists alike.
Camille and her boyfriend treated themselves to a glass of champagne each whilst at The Shard, setting them back £10 each per glass, but an additional treat that Camille felt definitely added to the experience! There was also an option to have a photo taken for a take away memory.
